We recently added three new Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) compatible plans to our Blue Solutions® product suite. The new plans, when paired with an HRA spending account give you more control over your health care costs. You decide what medical expenses and services are eligible for reimbursement through the HRA and you decide how much to contribute to your employees’ accounts.

You and your employees save with HRAs

Any contributions you make to HRAs are tax deductible and are excluded from employees’ gross income. Since you fund HRAs throughout the year, you won’t have to set aside money up front, giving you greater flexibility in managing your cash flow. And any unused funds remain with you. HRAs also help employees reduce their cost-sharing, save on medical expenses, and meet their deductible.

Add Healthy Lifestylessm Rewards to your HRA, HSA, or high deductible health plan

Healthy Lifestyles Rewards is an online wellness program that can be paired with an HRA, Health Savings Account (HSA)-qualified, or any high deductible plan — with no administrative fees. After completing an online health assessment, employees and their covered dependents (age 18 and over) can earn HealthPoints by engaging in a variety of wellness activities including:

  • Exercising
  • Losing weight
  • Talking to a health coach
  • Quitting smoking
  • Getting preventive screenings

HealthPoints equate to dollars that you deposit into a designated HRA or HSA spending account to offset your employees’ deductible. Every month, you receive a monthly earnings report that lets you know how many HealthPoints your employees earned and how much money should be deposited into each employee’s account.
