GradFin services available to protect employees’ financial well‑being
|
As previously communicated, effective January 1, 2021, commercial customers and their employees now have access to GradFin student loan services as a value‑added service at no additional cost, regardless of their 2021 plan effective date.

AmeriHealth New Jersey is always looking for ways to add value to benefits packages through services that address a member’s physical, mental, emotional, and financial well‑being. GradFin helps members and their families achieve their financial well-being goals by finding the best strategies to both save for college and reduce existing student‑loan debt.
|
GradFin is available to all consumer plan members and commercial group customers. In order to take advantage of this benefit, a customer must offer AmeriHealth New Jersey benefits as a plan option to their employees. AmeriHealth New Jersey is viewing this as a customer‑level, value‑added service, so even if an employee does not elect to receive their benefits through AmeriHealth New Jersey, they and their family still have access to GradFin services.

Advantages of being an AmeriHealth New Jersey customer
|
GradFin offers three core student loan services that can improve an employee’s financial future. Through an exclusive arrangement with AmeriHealth New Jersey, GradFin is providing four key advantages to employees utilizing their services:

- Bonus towards principal. GradFin will provide $100 towards the balance of an employee’s loan principal when refinancing with GradFin, further reducing their financial burden.
- Rate advantage. GradFin will provide an incremental reduction to an employee’s loan refinancing rate.
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) pricing concessions. Through AmeriHealth New Jersey’s arrangement, the PSLF program will be available to all eligible employees at GradFin’s lowest pricing tier — $100 per year — regardless of employer size.
- Designated consultation team. Employees of AmeriHealth New Jersey customers receive priority scheduling with a dedicated consultant.

Customer Outreach

GradFin will be making outreach directly to customers in an effort to also reach non-AmeriHealth New Jersey employees. GradFin’s typical model consists of partnering up with employers to promote the program via webinars, HR emails, intranet banner, etc.
