AblePay Health helps manage and reduce medical expenses

Effectively immediately, AmeriHealth New Jersey is now offering consumer and small group (2 – 50) members access to AblePay Health (AblePay), a third‑party service that makes it easier to understand and pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses. This value‑added service helps promote financial well‑being and is available at no cost to eligible members and small group employees. Small group employees do not have to be enrolled in an AmeriHealth New Jersey health plan to be eligible for AblePay.

AblePay works with providers to manage the billing and claims payment process on behalf of enrolled members. By enrolling with AblePay, members can view their medical bills and make payments through a single portal. AblePay members can take advantage of flexible payment plan options and save up to 13 percent on out-of-pocket medical expenses. Savings options are based on a sliding scale (one month to twelve month payments), and all options feature zero percent interest. Members can make payments with their credit/debit card, checking/savings account, or HSA/FSA spending account.

Member marketing campaign

Beginning in December 2021 and running through the first quarter of 2022, eligible members who are digitally engaged will begin to receive AblePay information via email, AmeriHealth New Jersey Wire® text messages, and/or our member newsletter, depending on their opt‑in status. Members will be directed to AblePay's website for information on their services and savings opportunities. Members will also be directed to AblePay's simple enrollment portal. We have created collateral to help you understand and explain the many benefits of using AblePay, as well as how employees can get registered.
