MDLIVE to update visit fees effective January 1, 2022

Access to MDLIVE virtual care has allowed AmeriHealth Administrators members to seek care safely and conveniently from home. Over the past year and a half, MDLIVE has seen an increase in the utilization of their services due to the COVID‑19 pandemic. As a result, MDLIVE is adjusting its visit fees for the first time in five years to enhance their network of providers to help meet our members’ needs.

Effective January 1, 2022, the cost per visit for MDLIVE telemedicine and teledermatology virtual care services will be increasing. Visit fees for behavioral health virtual care services will remain the same. These updated rates are valid until December 31, 2022.

Comparatively, the cost per visit for non‑emergent virtual care through MDLIVE is still significantly less than a visit to an emergency room or urgent care center based on our internal data.
