Your members can take steps to ensure the healthiest pregnancy and delivery possible by enrolling at no cost in Baby Beginnings. Through this maternity program, members have access to:

• Information that guides them through each stage of pregnancy

• Support from a Registered Nurse

• Specialized help from an obstetrical nurse if there are complications during pregnancy

Seeking guidance on their family planning journey

Throughout the course of the pregnancy, your employees and their partners will need various routine tests to check on the health of both baby and mom. When your members log in at amerihealth.com/tpa, they have 24/7 access to our Family Planning tool, which provides many of the resources they need on the path to parenthood.

Using this tool, they can:

• Review a list of common prenatal tests

• Estimate costs for prenatal tests and screenings

• Compare providers

Managing a healthy pregnancy

Detecting potential complications early on in a member's pregnancy is key to improving clinical outcomes for mom and baby, and can also reduce health care costs.

The Maternity Management Incentive Program aims to motivate members to take steps to ensure a healthy pregnancy. Through this program, members can earn a $250 incentive when they complete the following activities:

• Enroll in Baby Beginnings before the third trimester of pregnancy

• Have an appointment with a physician in each trimester

• Complete a postpartum assessment

Nurturing a healthy newborn

Immunizations are highly recommended for all infants who are healthy enough to receive them. Once a baby has started the Immunization schedule, parents can track his or her vaccinations through their Personal Health Record on amerihealth.com/tpa.

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) program, included as part of Complex Case Management, offers:

• Daily identification via real time triggers and direct referrals from utilization management

• Personalized outreach from NICU Registered Nurses telephonically and/or by email to parents during a newborn’s NICU stay and post‑discharge

• NICU journals mailed to families with stays of seven days or longer

• Medical rounds and availability of an on‑staff neonatologist

• Access to an on‑staff lactation consultant

Access to 24/7 personalized mobile support

Ovia Health provides personalized mobile support for pre‑conception, pregnancy, and parenting. Ovia Health includes a suite of mobile apps covering reproductive health, planning and starting a family, navigating pregnancy, balancing life as a working parent, and managing menopause. By engaging women early and often, and empowering members with information and support to make positive behavior change, Ovia Health helps to drive cost reduction and improved outcomes.
