Consolidated Appropriations Act and Transparency in Coverage Rule – FAQ

In response to recent provisions under the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) and the Transparency in Coverage (TCR) Rule, we are creating a comprehensive Independence FAQ and Independence Administrators FAQ to address inquiries we have received as well as a CAA and TCR Roadmap and Timeline for Independence and Independence Administrators.

As we receive additional guidance on implementing and complying with these provisions, we will update the FAQ and communicate any new information in future editions of Independence Edge. This includes information about surprise billing and reporting, continuity of care, mental health and substance abuse parity, provider directories, air ambulance reporting, the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, MLR, machine‑readable files, and personalized disclosure of out‑of‑pocket (OOP) costs.
