RFR Realty LLC Implements Yardi LOBOS
in the Seagram Building
Intelligent HVAC platform will promote sustainability at a key New York City commercial property
Real estate developer RFR Realty LLC will use Yardi LOBOS™ to advance its sustainability initiatives at the company’s iconic 910,000-square-foot Seagram Building in New York City.
RFR will adopt Yardi LOBOS (Load-Based Optimization System), an intelligent HVAC platform that significantly reduces energy consumption in large commercial buildings while providing automated demand response functionality. LOBOS’s energy efficiency, demand response and fault detection and diagnostic functionality will continuously monitor cooling, heating and air handling systems in the Seagram Building while automating demand response and providing real-time feedback. The anticipated results are increased tenant comfort and new levels of energy efficiency.
“Satisfying our highly sophisticated tenant base is the key to increasing property worth and long-term value for the Seagram Building. LOBOS will help us accomplish that by increasing tenant comfort and energy efficiency concurrently,” said Gerard Schumm, executive vice president for RFR.
“Yardi is pleased to support RFR by lending our energy management expertise to one of New York’s most recognizable buildings and a key commercial office space,” said Mark Boliaris, general manager for Enerliance, a Yardi company. “LOBOS will add value by holistically optimizing all of the building’s HVAC systems and adding new levels of programming intelligence.”
