As we all know the busiest period for our affordable housing clients is the end/beginning of the year and 2015 is no exception! The beginning of 2015 has been especially unique with TRACS v. 202D transitions, Passbook Rate changes mandatory for all program types, 1099 submissions, Tax Credit State Reporting, and the normal monthly procedures, all which have caused the affordable housing world to be a little hectic to say the least. The affordable housing customer service teams would like to thank you for your participation in webinars, product feedback, and being pro-active in adopting these changes. Latest Voyager Affordable Housing FeaturesEvery upgrade brings new innovative features to help you better manage your properties and compliance regulations. This year much of our focus was to help you with HUD TRACS 202D transition and implement the mandatory passbook rate changes. To assist with these tasks, Yardi has released several new functions and reports. We describe a few of these items in this newsletter. For a full list of new features, please visit Client Central and review the release notes for the latest affordable housing versions. 50059 Certification Stack The October release of Affordable PI 3 includes a new and improved "50059 Certification Stack". You can find the link in the Data drop-down menu on the Resident screen. The report summarizes the calculated values for each certification and tracks how long each record appeared on the vouchers by listing a first voucher date and a most recent voucher date. Earlier this year, HUD announced a new passbook rate of 0.06%. The new passbook rate went into effect February 1, 2015 and affects any resident with assets greater than $5,000. Repayment agreements for 50059 properties have existed in Voyager for a few years. However beginning with TRACS 202D, HUD now requires that Repayment Agreements be standardized and transmitted electronically on your Voucher. This is a new process for many of our clients. The Knowledge Base Search can be found under the Product Resources menu of Client Central. This replaces MyYardi. Please log in to Yardi Client Central to review the Top Knowledge Base items. Have You Heard the News About RENTCafé® Affordable Housing™?Now you can give your applicants and residents 24/7 online access to submit housing eligibility forms, certify documents with electronic signatures, and make payments whenever and wherever they happen to be. "RENTCafé Affordable Housing is truly a first of its kind product for the subsidized housing industry.
