How to Shift from Big Data to Smart Data – Yardi at MIPIM

Yardi has taken part in the ever-expanding vibrant real estate ‘hub’ that is MIPIM for over ten years now and this year was no exception. Exhibiting at stand R7.F27, the Yardi stand was buzzing with new connections and clients who came to talk to us about our cloud-based investment, asset and property management solutions.

Richard Gerritsen, Regional Director, European Sales at Yardi, provided his own personal insight during the panel session, ‘How to shift from big data to smart data’ which was held in the Innovation Forum. The following topics were just a few issues discussed:

• Moving data to/from the cloud – wi-fi vs. li-fi vs fiber vs.


• What real estate companies are leading the way in terms of effective data mining and data management?


• Cybersecurity – How big of an issue for the industry?


• Do effective digital data strategies plus AI threaten virtually every job in the world sooner or later?

MIPIM 2017 - Leading real estate publication Immobilienwirtschaft discusses the latest in German real estate technology with Yardi’s regional sales director, Richard Gerritsen

Yardi Vice President Neal Gemassmer also took part in proptech discussions on-board a stunning yacht in the Cannes harbour. The roundtable, hosted by Colliers EMEA alongside Property EU, covered proptech innovation and its impact on real estate workforce and occupier demand.

MIPIM continues to be one of the industries most influential events and Yardi looks forward to continued participation in years to come.
